The CAPE MAY AREA, from Delaware Bay to Stone Harbor to the north offers some of the best saltwater fishing in New Jersey. You can fish the quiet back bay flats, sod banks, creeks and coves to the channels, inlet rocks, jetties and beachfront for a variety of species using flies, lures or bait, all depending on how and when you want to fish.
Fishing early morning and evening (sunrise and sunset) are the prime times for catching as bait fish and preditors become
more active and boat activity is at a minimum.
It also provides for some spectacular sunsets and sunrises adding to the
overall experience.
Since fish feed 24-7 middle of the night trips are an option and offer a totally difference experience
for those willing to try it. This is especially true for striper fishing as they are more light sensitive and many times,
while in search of food, will venture in super shallow water where their fins are out of the water. Other night time areas
that produce are bridge and pier shadow lines that act as ambush points for many game fish.
